7 Life Hacks for Living a Positive Life

Life Hacks

Life can sometimes be tough so it’s important to focus on the positive. Here are some life hacks that will help you become and stay a more positive person.

1 – Memory Jar

This year, set aside a jar with sticky notes and a pen next to it. Each time something positive happens in your life, write the memory on the sticky note, roll it up and put it in the jar. At the end of the year, stroll down memory lane to find positive things that happened to you in the past year.

2 – Stay Hydrated

Did you know that drinking 2 cups of cold water can increase metabolism by 30%? Here’s a life hack for getting really cold water. Fill a bottle a quarter the way full with water. Put it in the freezer overnight. The next morning, grab the water bottle, fill it the rest of the way with water for cold water.

3 – Life Hacks with Color Coded Keys

Struggling with your keys can bring on unwanted stress. It’s easy to forget which keys are used for your home, storage area, or locks. Color coding the keys by coloring the top of the key with nail polish can make each key easier to recognize.

4 – Keep New Habits on the Down Low

Wait 12 weeks after making a big life change to tell others about it. Research shows that it takes 12 weeks for a habit to stick. So rather than broadcasting your major life changes on day one, wait until the habit sticks to tell others about it. It allows you to say “I’ve been doing this for 3 months now.”

5 – Eat Watermelon

Watermelon can help relieve stress and anxiety. It will also keep you energized and boost your metabolism. It can also quench inflammation that contributes to conditions like asthma, atherosclerosis, diabetes, colon cancer, and arthritis. So eat your watermelon!

6 – Make Your Bed Daily

Studies show that people that make their bed up each day feel more organized and less anxious. Make a habit of making your bed up each day to start the day on positive footing.

7 – Get Daily Fitness

As little as 20 minutes a day (5 days a week) of fitness can have a dramatic impact on your mental and physical health. Don’t rush out and join a health club. Instead, walk or cycle 3 days a week for 20 minutes. On the other 2 days, do some type of calisthenics (lift house hold objects, do squats, lunges, pushups, and sit ups).
